In the world today, the reason behind most of our troubles is that
we are too anxious to get everything done now, now, and now. No
wonder we take 2 steps forward and 8 steps backward in the course
of our daily life decisions. Anxiety has never done, and will
never do anyone good.
Why didn’t we just grow up and become adults immediately we were
given birth to? We first had to learn to sit, then crawl, stand,
take a few faltering steps, thereafter walk properly and finally,
run. We also didn’t get to our present physical height immediately
we were born. We grew inch-by-inch, metre-by-metre till we got to
our present height. These are live examples to show us that
whatever it is we will become in life won’t be achieved in a day.
Our successes will be achieved little by little. (Poco-a-poco as
the Italians put it). We should never expect to wake up one morning
and find ourselves in that plum job we anxiously desire. We must
understand the place of time and effort in bringing about success.
Just as you don’t become a graduate the same day you get admitted into that school, but rather have to go through series of courses, which will also involve assignments, tests, examinations, and many other things, so also you don’t reap the rewards of your efforts the same day you begin to apply them positively.
You’ve got to understand this; time has a role to play in bringing
about your desired success. Please, don’t be anxious for overnight
success, it will get you nowhere.
Anxiety is never good for the soul. See you in a fortnight. Till
then, live anxious free.

Life at various times puts us to test. It might be a test of
character, integrity, endurance, self-control/discipline,
confidence, prudence, financial management, human relations to
mention but a few. How we respond to life’s test goes a long way
to determine our progress in life or otherwise.
Many are the stories of great men who passed through life’s
difficult tests in one way or the other. They however passed the
tests albeit not without initial failures, yet, we do all refer
to them as role models worth emulating.
What test(s) are you currently passing through? Are you been
accused of an offence you didn’t commit? Are you being victimized
for standing up for the truth? Are you being striped of
responsibilities just because you refuse to give in to seduction?
Are you being denied your rights just because you refuse to join
the multitude in doing evil?
Friend, put your mind at rest. These tests are meant to move you
forward. They are not meant to deter you progress. They are meant
to refine and polish you the more. They are meant to expose your
weaknesses and give you the opportunity to strengthen them. TESTS
ARE GOOD FOR YOUR PROGRESS. They serve as oil in the your wheel
of progress.
Friend, how will you begin to see the tests you are currently
passing through? Will you see them as the vehicle for your
progress or clogs in your wheel of progress?
The decision lies with you. God bless you.

Dance is a form of art. It is an artistic form of nonverbal communication. It is the response of the body to one form of music or the other. Dance is also a form of entertainment. Dance also depicts appreciation. In religious settings, dance is sed to appreciate the benevolence of the Supreme one for hisunequalled care. Dance most times opens our hearts in thanks to the one who has done us well. Friend, please, let me ask you this question. How do you feel when you dance? I am sure that you are always happy and full of life.
However , when last did you consciously appreciate a good gesture bestowed on you? When last did you thank someone for what he/she did for you? When last did you do something for your subordinate that completed an assignment right on time? Was it just the normal/usual thank you?
Friend, When last did you go out of your way to do something special for people who did something for you or solved
a particular problem? Note this; APPRECIATION UNLOCKS THE DOOR TO GREATNESS. Appreciating people genuinely makes them do more for you. It makes them go the extra mile on your behalf. It makes them do the things they wouldn’t have ordinarily done for you.
Don’t believe that appreciation can be faked. If you truly and genuinely appreciate people from your heart, they will know, and if otherwise, the same thing applies.
Just as we dance our hearts out to God to thank Him for mercies and blessings received, let us also remember to give our hearts out in appreciation to people who have in one way or the other contributed to our success in life.
Remember; APPRECIATION UNLOCKS THE DOOR TO GREATNESS.
See you later.

There are many definitions to the word potential. Some include;
Anything that may be possible, the inherent capacity for coming
into being, anything possible but not yet in existence, something
existing in possibility: capable of development into actuality,
something expected to become or be; in prospect; “potential
clients”; “expected income”
Potential is the innate ability God has deposited inside you.
Potential is the inner source of your life. It is the reason for
your existence. It is the reason you can do so many things. God
has deposited in you, great loads of incomparable and unmatched
potential.
How therefore can you maximize your potential? The first step to
this is to discover who you are. You need to discover why you are
living. In other words, you’ve got to discover the reason behind
your existence.
For me, I have discovered that my purpose in life is to teach
people how to discover their God-given/innate abilities and how
they can utilize them to the maximum for their personal and also
societal benefit. Hence, my journey into the world of motivation.
As I began to work according to my life’s purpose, I discovered
that I had the potentials I needed to become a world-renowned
motivational/public speaker, writer, etc. All that was needed
was just to refine and polish them for maximum impact. This
therefore means that your life’s purpose determines your
potential. This is because you have already been wired with the
potentials for what you were intended to be.
The second step is to focus on the potentials that will aid your
life’s purpose. There are many that are faced with the dilemma of
what to do in life because they have so many gifts and are at a
loss about what gift(s) to focus on. Friend, your life’s purpose
will determine what particular potential(s) to focus on.
Personally, I can write songs, dance, act, build websites, play
the piano, do stand-up comedy, motivate people, and so many other
things. However, since I discovered that my life’s purpose is
motivation, I have had to focus on my motivation potential. This
doesn’t mean I have thrown away other potentials. As Dr. Myles
Munroe put it, other potentials/gifts will find avenues to
manifest as you focus on potentials that align with your life’s
purpose. This is true because I am a personal testimony to this
fact. In my work of motivation, I write songs that motivate people
and cause them to have a change of heart as regards their
current position. Friend, you therefore need to focus on the
potentials(s) that will aid your life’s purpose.
Friend, the third step to maximizing your potential is to
develop and refine them. Most male adults have the potential of
playing football at the highest level but due to one reason or the
other, that potential has not been developed and refined. The
reason why players like Pele, Michel Platini, Zinedine Zidane,
Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto, Didier Drogba and the irreplaceable
Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha have made the news and will continue to
make the news is because they have taken time out to develop and
refine their football gifts. These gifts after being refined have
become the skill with which they trade with in the market place.
Friend, you can maximize your potential by reading books
that will enhance your potential, attending self-development
seminars, and putting into practice all you have read and heard
about self-discovery/development.
Above all, the greatest resource that can help you maximize your
potential is the greatest motivational book ever written. It is
the “BIBLE.” It contains day-to-day guide on how to make maximum
use of your potential not for your benefit alone but also for the
benefit of others. Why not try picking up a copy of the bible,
and develop a constant habit of reading it. You’ll be glad you
did. God bless you as you do take this bold step.
Keep maximizing your potential.

To expect means to hope for, to believe in that
something will happen, either positive or negative. We
as human beings in one way or the other expect some
certain things to happen to us in this year. We expect
that things should turn out this way or that way.
We however get discouraged when things don’t go as
planned. Yet, we need to come to terms with the fact
that things will not always turn our way. When this
happens, what do we do? We need to change our attitude
and believe that even though it didn’t turn out well
today, it will tomorrow. Circumstance don’t create us,
we are the creators of circumstances. Our attitude to
every situation determines our state.
When things don’t turn out the way we want, we need to
expect that they will turn out better later. We must
sit down and analyze the cause(s) of the situation
properly and make sure we find solutions to them and
act on them.
When next your expectation is dashed, what will your
attitude be? Will you resign to fate or take adequate
control of the situation and believe that things will
turn out better next time?
Friend, the ball is in your court.

What does it mean to be stagnant? To be stagnant refers to being
rooted at a spot for a long time. The closest illustration to
drive home this point is stagnant water. The attributes of stagnant
water include nauseating odour, discoloured surface, suitable
breeding place for all sorts of bacteria, fungi, algae, mosquitoes,
etc., all of which can cause diseases to humans.
In Africa, it is known that stagnant water in drainages
is highly responsible for the breeding of mosquitoes that infect
people with the deadly malaria disease.
From the above illustration, it is therefore clear that stagnancy
is a disease that should be avoided like a plague. Please note
this, stagnancy is a sign of retrogression.Stagnancy arises when you believe that you have arrived
at a certain level and that that is the best you can achieve. When
you begin to rest on your oars and make no conscious effort to
improve upon your existing position, believing that you have
finally gotten to the pinnacle, stagnation is beckoning unto you.
Friend, wake up from your sleep. There’s a nursery school rhyme that goes thus:
Good, better, best
Never will I rest
Until my good is better
And my better best.
You’ve got to challenge yourself to move to greater heights.
There’s always a better than your best. Stagnation leads to
redundancy. It deprives you of seeing far ahead of your present
state. It makes you become bored with your present position and
makes you think that someone is responsible for your predicament.
Friend, the ball is in your court. You have to rise up
from the pool of stagnancy and fire up yourself for the next level.
Stagnation is never a friend of the progressive.
God bless you as you take positive action.

Worrying is a lasting preoccupation with past or future bad events.
It is a type of thinking that makes you feel as if you were
reliving a past event or living out a future one, and you cannot
stop those thoughts from occurring. Such thoughts are often
characterized by the phrases “If only…” and “What if…”
Worry is the source of most human problems. It is sometimes
responsible for emotional stress high blood pressure, heart
failure etc. These are ailments, if not well taken care of, can
terminate a person’s life. Think about the number of times you
have worried about a particular situation. Have your worries ever
brought about the desired solution(s)? NO!
Worry destroys confidence. Worry acts as a barrier between you and
success. Worry deflates your optimism and makes you see no good in
any situation. Worry is a destiny terminator!Worry can sometimes
make an active employee become dormant. Worry has no good to offer.
It is the architect of retrogression. Worry breaks the cycle of
progress and makes sure that a good prospect is viewed with
pessimism.
Five Action Steps To Overcome Worry
1. Plan: Dr. Myles Munroe in his book, ‘The principles and
power of vision,’ said that planning destroys worry. You need to
sit down and think about your problems, seek out their causes and
proffer probable solutions to them. This puts you in firm control
of the situation and not the other way round.
2. Be Optimistic: Optimism is a sure weapon to defeat worry.
Being optimistic gives you the hope that things will turn out well.
Never for once think that the situation will overwhelm you.
Rather, be optimistic that you will get out from your present
problems. Remember, tough times never last but tough people do.
3. Be Courageous: Courage is never the absence of fear.
Rather, it is being bold in the face of fear. You’ve got to stand
up and face your problems and believe firmly that you will
overcome them. Don’t ever chicken out. Problems you run from today
will definitely surface tomorrow with greater intensity.
4. Act: Don’t just sit down and mull over your situation.
You’ve got to take positive steps. After planning and having
embraced the spirit of courage, you need to act on your plans.
You are responsible for your life and therefore have no excuse for
failure. You’ve got to ACT. Stand up and ACT. Sit up and ACT.
Don’t think that someone’s going to pop out from the blues and
solve your problems for you. Your situation lies in your hands.
5. Invite God into your situation: You as a creation cannot
function properly without your creator. You therefore need to
invite Him into your problems. His word says, “Cast your burdens
upon me for I care for you.” He is the only Certified Solutions
Provider. He’s going to ease your burdens, make a way for you and
ensure you have a positive turn-around in your situation.
In case you haven’t met this wonderful situation changer, his name
is Jesus Christ. You need to have a relationship with Him so that
your worry can be turned into smiles. All you need do now is say
this prayer with all your heart.
“Lord Jesus, thank you for my life. I have come to realize that I
cannot solve my problems without you. You are the only solutions
provider to all my worries. Therefore, I handover the control of
my heart unto you. I refuse to hold on to it anymore. Purge me of
all my iniquities and let your blood make me as white as snow.
Thank you Lord for answered prayers. Now I know that an end has
come to all my worries. In Jesus name I pray (Amen).”
Congratulations friend, you have just been born again. Your entire
life can continually be free from worry by constant reading and
meditation in the word of God, and fellowshipping with a Bible
believing church. God bless you.
